AC Valhalla Update 1.04: 3 Biggest Takeaways
1. FPS or Graphics
Ubisoft added an option for the Xbox Series X/S and the PlayStation 5 allowing players to choose either performance or quality.
- Choosing Performance allows the game to adapt the resolution and graphic settings to maintain 60 FPS.
- Choosing Quality enables the game to run maximum resolution and graphic settings while maintaining 30 FPS.
- Default values since the launch of the game are as follows:
- Xbox Series X / PlayStation 5: Performance
- Xbox Series S: Quality
2. Game Improvements
For a massive studio launch, AC Valhalla had a rather smooth release. There were not complaints of bugs or system breakdowns on the internet as players seemed to enjoy the content. That doesn't mean things couldn't be improved. Ubisoft is adding in some changes to game saves, NPC interaction, world quests and more.
3. UI Stability
While it may seem minor, Ubisoft is working tirelessly on the different menus, HUDs, and UI throughout the game. Making it cleaner and easier to read is their main priority. But to the delight of many, they focused on one community complaint. Ubisoft increased Odin's Sight radius and enemies will now be highlighted for longer. Players were complaining online about the amount of time enemies would remain highlighted, and now it should be a much better experience.
