Apex Legends Matchmaking Not Working: How to Fix

Apex Legends Matchmaking has not been working for some players. Specifically, players have been stuck in hour-long queues or been unable to connect entirely. Reportedly Respawn has fixed the issue, but here's what you can do if the issue persists.

As an update, the issues earlier causing players to have trouble matchmaking have now been resolved. Thanks for hangin' in there with us. ??

Apex Legends Matchmaking Not Working: How to Fix

First, make sure your game is updated to the most recent version. If your game isn't updated it will only try to match you with players running the version you're currently using, narrowing your match pool significantly.

If you're on the latest version and you're still having issues, you might want to try switching your server. As Among Us players can attest, server traffic can cause major issues for connectivity and stability. You can switch servers under the Datacenter settings. You'll want one with as low ping as possible that wasn't your last server. This should clear up the problems you were experiencing on the previous server. If the issues continue even after doing all that, my only advice would be to try and restart the game a couple of times. It's old advice but it does work 90% of the time.
