Bank Robber Joker from The Dark Knight Gets A Sweet re-Release from Hot Toys

High-end collectibles producer Hot Toys recently unveiled an updated version of the highly-sought after The Joker (Bank Robber Version) 1/6th scale collectible figure.

Dubbed 'The Joker (Bank Robber Version 2.0)', this figure is an improved version from the last which was released in 2009. Compared to the older version, this 2.0 version gets a new paint job, sculpt and best of all, much more body-fitting attire.

Standing approximately 31cm tall, the figure comes with almost 30 articulation points and the ultra-realistic headsculpt carries the uncanny resemblance to the late Heath Ledger who played the Crown Prince of Crime in The Dark Knight.

Part of Hot Toys' 2014 Toy Fairs Exclusive line, we have the promotional pictures of the collectible figure below:

The figure comes with eight (8) pieces of interchangeable gloved palms including:
- One (1) pair for holding the gun
- One (1) left palm for holding The Joker cards
- One (1) right palm for holding the knife
- Two (2) right and one (1) left posing palms
- One (1) left relaxed palm;

As well as a number of weapons including:

One (1) pistol
One (1) shotgun
One (1) switchblade
Four (4) smoke grenades
Six (6) grenades
Six (6) round grenades.

We don't recall The Joker carrying a shotgun in that scene but hey - more accessories, the better!

The unmasked Joker head is interchangable with a newly sculpted Bozo mask head sculpt with scuff marks and the figure is clad in the exact same attire as seen in The Dark Knight.

The estimated release date for the figure currently stands around Q3-Q4 2014. However, based on previous Toy Fair Exclusive releases, this figure *should* be available for retail at major toy fairs and expos happening around the globe, most notably, SDCC in the States , the Singapore Toy Games and Comic Con in September and perhaps even the Hong Kong Toys and Games Fair in January.

No retail price for the figure has been announced but we are guessing it should hover around the $300 to $390 mark considering what is being offered.

For all things Hot Toys and obviously, games and anything in between, keep it locked on to IGN Asia.
