He worked as a meteorologist for WALA-TV in Mobile, Alabama, and was a morning show host on WABB-FM. He also worked as both a meteorologist at WFAA-TV and a morning show host for KHYI-FM in Dallas
While at WABC-TV, Evans was the Senior Meteorologist for Eyewitness News This Morning and Eyewitness News at Noon. He joined the station on December 13, 1989.
He is a 15-time Emmy award winner for “Outstanding On-Camera Achievement in Weather Broadcasting.” Evans was also awarded the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor, in 2016.
