League of Legends Patch 11.17 is slated to release soon with Patch 11.16 having come out on Aug. 11. With the full scope of what to expect in Patch 11.17 having already been announced, the last question to answer is: when will League of Legends Patch 11.17 release?
While many people would have guessed that Patch 11.17 should have been released on Aug. 18, that is incorrect. Because of Riot's mid-year break, Patch 11.17 will actually be released on Wednesday, Aug. 25.

League of Legends Patch 11.17 Release Date
Big changes are coming in Patch 11.17. One of the most notable updates is a mini rework to Amumu which will change his Bandage Toss (Q) to containing two charges instead of going on cooldown after one use. Additional big changes include nerfs to mid lane Lucian, and nerfs to Viego's auto attack range.
Players can expect maintenance for Patch 11.17 to start on Wednesday, Aug. 25 at 6:00 a.m. ET. Until then, there is plenty of time still to play with Amumu's current kit or take advantage of mid lane Lucian against Kassadin players.
