Everyone has heard of the famous electronic song Sandstorm by Darude. It has been a famous meme in gaming communities and has no doubt been a part of League of Legends since the song came out.

In a different video by VICE, it takes a look at the popularity and history of Sandstorm since its inception.
At one point in the video, a famous and longtime League of Legends professional player is shown.
TheOddOne explains that he was listening to Sandstorm during one of his streams and that is one of the reasons why the song became so popular in League of Legends.
Darude says that his track was able to become popular because of TheOddOne and Darude even calls TheOddOne a "crazy good gamer" who was "ruling the world in his League of Legends session".
Now we know why Sandstorm is so popular and we can all thank The General for making it so popular and a meme in the League of Legends community.
