Wizards Unite Family XP is just one of the many ways to grow your wizard or witch inside the Harry Potter: Wizards Unite universe. Unlike Pokemon GO, which has a flat character level, Wizards Unite has multiple areas where you grow ranks and levels.
There are a total of six areas which can be leveled in Wizards Unite.
- Wizarding Level
- Profession Grade
- Registry Frames
- Exploration Foundable Registry Rank
- Challenge Foundable Registry Rank
- Brilliant Foundable Registry Rank

Wizards Unite Family XP: What is Family XP?
Out of the six areas, Exploration Registry Rank is the one that uses Family Experience. You can find your rank in the Registry tab. Each tier inside the Registry tab shares different family experience. Each encounter or stamp you get in a certain tab will award Exploration Foundable Family XP.
There is an event this weekend that gives double Family XP. Niantic Labs explained the event in-game, "A Task Force Emergency approaches! On Saturday, grab your wand and help the SOS Task Force contain a flare-up of Foundables. For a limited time, Inns will provide extra Spell Energy and Care of Magical Creatures Traces will award additional Family XP."
