Hello fellow D&D'ers.

Me and some friends started with a new campain in the D&D 5e setting.
I rolled a bard and 1 of my spells is cloud of daggers (we started on lvl 3 ).

Now we have some differend opinions about its actual AOE range.

I hope someone can clear that out for us.

here is a quick refrens on the spell:

You fill the air with spinning daggers in a cube 5 feet on
each side, centered on a point you choose within range.
A creature takes 4d4 slashing damage when it enters
the spell’s area for the first time on a turn or starts
its turn there.

So my opinion about its aoe is that you pick a point on the battle (a 5 ft square)
and then it extands 5ft to each side so it becomes a cube of 15ft on 15ft on 15.

1 of my friends thinks its just a cube of 5 ft on each side, becaus u target a point and then extand it 5ft to each side.

But becaus its a 5ft grit that is used i think any point that you target is a 5 ft square.

Pls let me know what you guys think about this
