When you attack with shadow blade do you deal +mod damage?

Shadow Blade: ...It counts as a simple melee weapon with which you are proficient. It deals 2d8 psychic damage on a hit and has the finesse, light and thrown properties (range 20/60)...

Yes, it acts as a normal weapon with the statistics above. I dont have the spell in front of me so goin by your text this is how it works.

Yes, it's a normal weapon, with all the normal weapon stuff. Including multi-attack, TWF, any "hit with a weapon" feature (smites, battlemaster dice), etc...

It just higher damage.
