How to Turn Off Quick Chat in Among Us

Learning how to turn off Quick Chat in Among Us is now needed information after the most recent update.

In the newest Among Us update from Innersloth, players are now able to use a quick-chat feature instead of typing tediously in voting sessions. The feature is one that Among Us players have requested for months and will make playing in public lobbies a bit easier for players to communicate in.

After the update hit, older fans rejoiced, however, the update only allows players over 18 to have quick and text chat options, currently younger players have to be restricted to quick chat.

To toggle between both chat types and just quick chat, go to the settings section on the Among Us main menu, and click on data. Hover over the empty box next to chat type and click on it to toggle between the two options.

Currently there is no way to turn off the quick chat feature, but you are now able to not just censor the text chat, but completely remove it. Innersloth plans on lowering the age restriction of using normal chat to 13 incoming updates, and they hope this will help keep younger players away from explicit speakers in the lobby vote screen.

The update is available for download now wherever your device downloads prior Among Us updates.
