Where are the Zombies in Warzone? Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone has officially kicked off, and after weeks of rumors and leaks hyping up the return of Zombies to Verdansk we now have confirmation that the undead have returned.
Earlier this month, players had seen a boat making its way to Verdansk in the midst of a thunderstorm. With the crew of the cargo tanker Vodianoy "not able to be contacted" and carrying "unknown cargo," many people jumped to the conclusion that Zombies were coming back to Verdansk. That rumor was solidified when players found calling cards that could only be unlocked by eliminating Zombies in Warzone.
Where are the Zombies in Warzone?
As expected, Vodianoy impacted on the shores of Verdansk and brought the undead with it. A new map location called Shipwreck can be found just outside of Prison, and in its depths are the Zombies. If you're lucky enough to fight your way through the copious amounts of players looking to get a piece of the action, you'll then have your chance at fighting the undead.
The Zombie event is trigger by activating a computer inside the ship, which can be accessed by entering the torn-off end of Vodianoy. You'll have to make your way upstairs on the right side of the ship, and head into a small room with a terminal that prompts "Activate Zombie Event." This will trigger the event, at which point 40 zombies will spawn. It can be done multiple times in a single match.
The zombies are not hard to kill, and they bring rewards upon their death. A new item called the "Yellow Keycard" will drop once they're defeated, and with it, cash, weapons, and more can be unlocked in a container throughout the ship.
We highly recommend exploring Shipwreck in Plunder with your team first, as you may not live long enough to venture through the new locale otherwise. Additionally, since there are a lot of players checking out this location, it's the perfect opportunity to level up your newly unlocked Fara 83 and LC10 SMG.
